How to get updates for macOS Mojave or later
If you've upgraded to macOS Mojave or later, follow these steps to keep it up to date:
- Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu , then click Software Update to check for updates.
- If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Or click ”More info” to see details about each update and select specific updates to install.
- When Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are also up to date. That includes Safari, iTunes, Books, Messages, Mail, Calendar, Photos and FaceTime.
To find updates for iMovie, Garageband, Pages, Numbers, Keynote and other apps that were downloaded separately from the App Store, open the App Store on your Mac, then click the Updates tab.
Actually it was there but it was like it was too far up 'past the top' of the screen to see it, like it was zoomed in. I've no idea what that means, but I unchecked it and BINGO! Anyway, I tried various different display settings in System Preferences/Displays. Mac os x mojave remove menu bar apps. (I did Screen Sharing on my MBP and it was visible from there so I knew it was there, just out of sight). Then I noticed there is a check box, saying Overscan.
To automatically install macOS updates in the future, including apps that were downloaded separately from the App Store, select ”Automatically keep my Mac up to date”. Your Mac will notify you when updates require it to restart, so you can always choose to install those later.

- When the App Store shows no more updates, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are up to date. That includes Safari, iTunes, iBooks, Messages, Mail, Calendar, Photos and FaceTime. Later versions may be available by upgrading your macOS.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I currently have with my mac book air?
MacBook Air info:
-Purchased new, late 2012
-Processor: 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5
-Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
-Storage Capacity: 120 GB
-Storage Capacity Free/Left: 68 GB
-Current OS X 10.9.5 (13F1911)
I am trying to download 'Microsoft One Note' onto my MacBook Air but it won't seem to let me. It keeps coming up with an error message;
'We could not complete your purchase. (null) can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because OS X version 10.10 or later is required.'
I have however downloaded and installed the 'macOS High Sierra' recently.
This problem occurs to other apps as well when i try to download them off the App Store onto the MacBook Air.
