The App Has Been Modified Or Damaged Mac
Code signing your app assures users that it is from a known source and the app hasn’t been modified since it was last signed. Before your app can integrate app services, be installed on a device, or be submitted to the App Store, it must be signed with a certificate issued by Apple. For more information on how to request certificates and code sign your apps, review Xcode Help.
Nov 01, 2013 By default, Mac OS X security allows only the apps that are downloaded from the Mac App Store (such as iTunes) or from Mac certified developers. Although it is safe to install apps that Apple recommends, there are always scenarios in which you will need to download.app.

I downloaded your latest macOS Binary (0.92) and tried installing on my new computer but got the following message: 'The app has been modified or damaged The app has been modified, and its code does not match the original signed code. The app may be broken or corrupted, or it may have been tampered with. If you think that an app has been damaged or tampered with, you should delete it by dragging it to the Trash. Some apps and tools, such as AppleScript or JavaScript applications and some legacy tools, modify themselves after signing. These types of apps cannot be opened unless you override the security settings on your Mac. For more information, see Open an app by overriding security settings. To learn how to protect your Mac from harmful software, see Protect your Mac from malware.' |
