Here’s a brief tutorial to help you enable scan options in the HP Officejet 6500A Plus All-in-one printer. The steps should work for most of the latest HP web-enabled printers.

Jan 31, 2012 Here’s a brief tutorial to help you enable scan options in the HP Officejet 6500A Plus All-in-one printer. The steps should work for most of the latest HP web-enabled printers.
Step 1: Go to Control Panel –> Device and Printers and double-click on the HP printer icon. You should find Scanner Actions there. Under that, click on Activate Scan to Computer.
Step 2: Well, that’s about it! You will be greeted with a box mentioning that the printer is ready to scan documents to your computer.

Second, It would be extremely wonderful if sharing (importing/exporting/previewing) clips were easy as well.I’m thinking something like “Padlet” for audio. I have an Officejet 6500 which has stopped scanning. The printer works fine as a printer. When I fire up 'HP Solution Center' the 'home' screen comes up. When I click on 'scan picture' I get a little circle going round for a couple of seconds and then it disappears and nothing happens - it just stays on the home screen.
